Put Off the Old Man, Put on Christ

Ephesians 4

17) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you from now on walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, 18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: 19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over to lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you have not so learned Christ; 21 If so be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that you put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

YOU ARE COMPLETE IN HIM

"In Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power."-Colossians 2:9-10

This word from God gives us a reason to rejoice and celebrate the wonderful love that He has lavished on us.

God is telling us plainly that 'In Him' , which is where He has placed us as His beloved childred, all of His fullness abides there. The location of God's abundance has been identified! The fullness of God's power is in Christ and because you are in Him, the grace of God to overcome any challenge is as near as your next breath!

What promise could be more reassuring? Who could make a more Faithful promise than our Lord? Let us trust in His word.

Are you living in the fullness of God's forgiveness? Sometimes do voices of guilt and self-condemnation cry out trying to remind you of your shortcomings and past mistakes? Are there embedded scars of shame in your soul from past sins, mistakes and perhaps backsliding from faithfulness to the Lord?

Be of good cheer! Through honest repentance and forsaking of sin, the promises of the Father are there waiting for you. The only reason you are not experiencing His splendor is because you're focus is off target.
Lay aside the weights and sin, and shift your focus to walking in the completeness that He has given you. The fullness of all that God is, dwells in you. Isn't it wonderful to know that our God the Forgiver, God the Redeemer, God the Faithful Husband to His Bride the church dwells inside of you!
There is no need to search out a man, a preacher, a mountaintop experience, or a better church. Let the Word of God dwell in you richly! The fullness of God is closer to you than your next breath.

COMPLETE IN HIM

Who said that you have not already been Perfected spiritually? What lying serpent has attempted to enter the Garden of your mind with that deception? We know that we are saved by grace, through His Faith and not by our own works of righteousness. Our perfection and completeness is based on His finished work! Again, scripture proclaims the wonderful completeness that we have in Christ through Him. Let God's word be true and every man be a liar.

Be encouraged with the Truth and Faithfulness of God's promises. Indeed the blood of Christ Jesus has set you free indeed. There are no dark principalities and power holding you back. I proclaim this boldly, because we are echoing the proclaimation of Calvary. Oh, Ye are complete in Him!
